Where to eat in Dubrovnik
Restaurant Dubrovnik
The only place I feel like to recommend is Restaurant Dubrovnik. This was our last night and we wanted to treat ourself and celebrate the end of a wonderful road-trip around Croatia. The location is beautiful and stylish, the service was impeccable, and the food great! Reserve your table in advance and enjoy a super good dinner in Dubrovnik.
Where to sleep in Dubrovnik
When booking your hotel/apartment, don’t forget 2 things. First of all, if you are on a road trip like we were, consider the city centre is not very car-friendly, and during high season it can get extremely crowded. Needless to say, the Old City is a pedestrian space.
Second, the Old City is on a flat territory. While the rest of the city is a continuous up and down. Don’t forget about this for two reasons: if you aren’t travelling light and are bringing heavy luggage it is not easy to go around; plus, don’t forget to bring some flat shoes with you, they will be more comfortable.
After this long premise, we booked a nice apartment at Villa Ankora, only 8 minutes far on foot from the Old City. We had a spacious and very clean room with a great view of the city.
My opinion about Dubrovnik
Yes, yes, yes! Don’t miss this beautiful city when visiting Croatia. If you want to explore better also the areas outside the Old City, plan to spend a couple more days here. While, for the Old City, one is good to truly enjoy the beauty this city has to offer. This is to say, highly recommended!
