Where to eat in Hvar
#1 Aroma Gelato Experience
I’m not sure – and I don’t believe – Aroma Gelato Experience is the only ice-cream place in Hvar City. But it looks like it is! This super small gelato shop is in the main promenade; open day and night, it offers very good ice-cream – trust me I’m Italian. At night it can get very crowded. Super crowded actually. But the wait is worth it!
#2 Falko Beach Bar & Food
Falko Beach Bar & Food is a great location at sunset! From the city centre it is a 15 min walk. Set in a beautiful garden right in front of the sea, we went to Falko for a late lunch – aperitivo and we truly appreciated the chill atmosphere and the great view.
Other restaurants
Hvar is a very touristic island. As a consequence, it is literally full of restaurants all over. Despite the large offer, during high season it is always complicated to find free sits without prior reservation. So don’t forget to book your table in advance, like 3-4 days before.
Now, I don’t really feel like recommending any restaurants. Generally speaking, Croatian food didn’t completely satisfy my tastes… And, since Hvar is very touristic, the menus are more or less all the same in all the restaurants… I would only spend some good words for Konoba Maestro. The restaurant is in a small alley, only a few tables outside, a nice location, and kind staff.
In conclusion, I would say that it could be better to go grocery shopping and cook something at home if you are staying in an apartment.
My opinion about Hvar
