The best way to explore the islands in front of Split is by boat. When having a walk in Split along the promenade, you will find countless stands of companies offering boat tours. You only have to choose one. We opted for Summer Blues‘ catamaran tours: specifically, we decided to go for the Hvar and Pakleni Islands Tour.
In love with the catamaran
This was my first time on a catamaran and I only have good memories of this day.
The tour may vary according to the program. Ours consisted of a total of 4 stops: 3 swimming stops around the islands, and one longer stop in Hvar. The atmosphere was extremely chill and pleasant, the boat was clean and spacious, the food plentiful.
Most importantly, don’t forget the diving mask, sunscreen, a hat, and a beach towel. The crew will provide all the rest. And be sure to book in advance if traveling during high season!
My opinion about Summer Blues
A premise is needed here. The overall success of a boat tour like this highly depends on the entire group of people participating. The catamaran is big enough for you to find your “private” spot; however, take into consideration you will spend an entire day with 50 other people, and they could be either funny or noisy. In other words, if you are looking for a more private and quiet tour, you better find another company.
But if you are up to an exciting day, then go for Summer Blues. We were extremely happy with the day spent with them. Moreover, we also happened to find a DJ-duo from Austria playing some great music. And the crew is very nice and friendly. Highly recommended!
